Prayer... And RIP Cooper

Cooper was put down... He had a brain issue. He bit my dad TWICE! He was only 2 years old. God I miss him. I'm crying as I write this. We might get a pug-a-poo though... But it will NEVER replace Cooper. So I probably won't be on much. My great grandma is REALLY sick and the chemo will/might kill her. My great grandpa is losing it mentally. And Cooper was put down yesterday. I keep expecting him to come and say hello, howl, or get out. It was so bad that the vet that my grandparents used for their dogs since my mom was little wouldn't let my dad leave the clinic w/out putting him down. This is NOT what Cooper was normally like. He had a degenerative condition that caused him to get aggressive and would have made him die a very horrible and painful death in a couple of years. I can't write anymore. It hurts to much...

PS: I need a LOT of prayer. I feel like I'm hitting rock bottom again

I am now my farrier's 'protege'!

Yep you heard it right! My farrier is now training me how to trim hooves! Woo Woo! Well I only had time to drop that quick line!

Wha'z up? I'm sooooo excited! Wanna know why? I get to order my supplies soon! YAY!

I have been researching up a storm and feel confident enough to start at least rasping their hooves in between trimmings! WOO HOO! The reason I am so excited is because for the first time in a while I am genuinely excited and have stayed excited for more than a week! I noticed on Sonny at least that he lands toe first and that his frog is small and his heel a wee bit restricted. So that leads to him having NO "dead" sole on the toe but at least an eighth of an inch in his seat of corn and the surrounding sole area. His toe is also more square and has corners PLUS he has quarter chipping and flaring. Red on the other hand looks pretty good but I haven't really worked on him...

1st Chronicle

I made this blog to Chronicle my Journey through Barefoot Trimming and Homeopathy for my horses (and Homeopathy for humans, I guess...). For my 2nd semester of school this year I am doing a course on Barefoot trimming and am getting high school credits! Right now I am researching up a storm and for Christmas will get all the necessary tools needed to start barefoot trimming! Homeopathy and barefoot trimming has always interested me. My family is VERY health conscious so I guess this just comes naturally to me ;) . It is also a challenge and I LOVE challenges! I LOVE comments! So comment! Give me tips or tell me if I helped you out... The Journey through barefoot trimming and homeopathy is going to be one bumpy ride. But it is SO going to be worth it!
